Piping is an ornamental thin tubular strip of upholstery that surrounds your seat cushion and seat back to add that authentic retro style. Specifically, it is vinyl-covered thin plastic tubing that is hand sewn on to your Diner Chair. The color of your piping is up to you, but you can choose to have the piping contrast (different color) the seat color or match (same color) the seat color.
The color of your piping will also be the color of your tufting and Vback insert, if you choose to include those options.
Piping on a Diner Chair with a 2" seat cushion will surround both the seat cushion and back of the chair. Piping on a Diner Chair with a 1" seat cushion will only surround the back of the chair.
Piping on the Seat Back Diner Bar Stool will surround both the seat cushion and seat back of the stool.
Piping on your Booth can be the same color as the rest of the booth or a contrasting color. Booth piping will run along the side edges of the booth seat and booth back, and along the top of the booth back.
Here are a few suggestions on the color combinations that we like best: Any of the Zodiac (ZD) colored seats with Silver (ZD26) piping looks great, particularly Burgundy (ZD24), Blue (ZD21), and Green (ZD23). You can't go wrong with American Beauty (US360) or Royal (US354) with Adobe White (US394) piping. Black (RU810) is an excellent color for any room. Choosing the same color seat and piping can also look nice.
